The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks Athletes of the Week on Wednesday. This week's winners, Mackenzie Masternak and Ryan Rundle, were recognized for their standout performances during the week of April 12th.

Mackenzie Masternak, Fourth Year, Pitcher, Sparta, NJ

• Posted a stellar 1.27 ERA over 2 starts, going 2-0 on the week over No. 15 St Thomas
• Threw 11.0 innings, allowing just 9 hits, 2 earned runs, and only 1 walk
• Recorded a complete game shutout among her two outings
• Struck out 6 batters while commanding the zone all week.
• Was the backbone of a Keiser pitching staff that went a combined 3-0 and held opponents to a .222 average

 

Ryan Rundle, Fourth Year, A/M, Wellington, Fla.

• Helped lead the No. 2-ranked Seahawks to a pair of wins, clinching the AAC Regular Season Title
• Totaled 15 points on the week, capped by a 7-goal, 3-assist performance on Senior Day vs. No. 5 Reinhardt
• Became Keiser's all-time leader in points (224) during the Senior Day matchup
• His 7-goal outing marked his 3rd hat trick of the season
• Fired 21 shots on the week, putting 16 on net
• Has recorded 3 or more assists in 6 games on the season
• Tied for the team lead in points with teammate AJ Badik at 41 points on the year
• Has tallied 19 goals on 35 shots on goal this season

 
Both and will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (April) award in May.
