The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks Athletes of the Week on Monday. This week's winners, Didrik Liljekvist and Dakota Moberg, were recognized for their standout performances during the week of March 1st.

Didrik Liljekvist, Fourth Year, Stockholm, Sweden

• Went 2-0 on the week (4-1 overall) competing at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles
• Led Keiser to a 5-0 sweep of No. 23 St. Thomas University
• Defeated No. 17 Mariano Hasenkopf in straight sets, 7-6(5), 6-2 — one of the top individual wins in the NAIA this season
• Hasenkopf entered with the highest UTR in NAIA men's tennis
• Earned a 6-1 doubles win at No. 1 in team victory over Palm Beach Atlantic University
• Went a perfect 2-0 in doubles with partner Matthew Dubas (6-0, 6-3 wins)
• Remains undefeated in singles and doubles this season
• Continues to anchor the Seahawks at the top of the lineup in both flights

 

Dakota Moberg, Second Year, WR/LB, Port Saint Lucie, Fla.

• Led Keiser to a 2-1 record at the RU Round Robin Tournament
• Posted 19 total flag pulls across three games
• Recorded two interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown
• Scored four receiving touchdowns on the weekend
• Totaled 11 receptions for 173 yards
• Registered a career-high 10 flag pulls vs. Wingate (8th in program history with 10+ in a game)
• Helped shut out Reinhardt 61-0 with three TD receptions
• Ranks No. 3 in the NAIA with 31 flag pulls this season

Both Liljekvist and Moberg will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (February) award in March.
