The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks Athletes of the Week on Monday. This week's winners, Niesha Aldajuste and Sam Libby, were recognized for their standout performances during the week of Jan 18th.

 
Niesha Aldajuste, Third Year, Thrower, ​Coral Spring, Fla.

• Placed second in the weight throw at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational
• Recorded a season-best mark of 16.55 meters (54'3.75")
• Earned a podium finish in a competitive field to open the indoor season
• Added a third-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 11.18 meters (36'8.25")
• Helped lead Keiser to multiple top-five finishes in the indoor opener
• Set the tone early for the Seahawks' throws group

   

Sam Libby, Second Year, 184 lbs., Mason, Ohio, ​

• Notched a first-period fall in 2:55 over the No. 10-ranked opponent at 184 lbs.
• He is 7–0 in duals this season and 15–1 overall during the regular season.
• Helped lead Keiser to a 31–20 dual victory over Brewton-Parker
• Provided crucial bonus points that shifted momentum in the dual

Both Aldajuste and Libby will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (January) award in Febuary.
