The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks Athletes of the Week on Tuesday. This week's winners, junior linebacker Eli Bertrand and junior outside hitter Cece Worsham, were recognized for their standout performances during the week of Oct. 26.

 
Eli Bertrand, Third Year, LB, Sebring, Fla.​

• Junior linebacker who led the defense in a 45-0 shutout victory over Webber International.
• Recorded a team-high seven tackles in the win.
• Guided the Seahawks to their seventh shutout in program history.
• Helped hold Webber to just 199 total yards of offense, marking the second straight game Keiser has kept an opponent under 200 yards.
• Defense also limited WIU to only 81 passing yards.
• Leads the team in tackles and ranks No. 3 in the SUN Conference.

 
Cece Worsham, Third Year, OH, Lima, Ohio​

• This marked Worsham's first weekly award of the season
• She recorded 23 kills and 20 digs, marking her sixth double-double of the year
• Both totals are career highs for the junior from Lima, Ohio
• Her 24 points are the most she has scored this season
• Worsham also contributed a service ace in the win

Both Cece and Eli will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (October) award in November.
