The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks Athletes of the Week on Tuesday. This week's winners, sophomore running back Jaden Miller and senior tennis player Violet Apisah, were recognized for their performances during the week of Oct. 19.
 
Jaden Miller, Second Year, RB, Miami, Florida​

• Named the Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week
• Sophomore running back who recorded his third 100-yard performance of the season.
• Rushed for 118 yards on 24 carries with two touchdowns (runs of 1 and 20 yards) in the win over St. Thomas.
• Added two receptions for 13 yards in the game.
• Helped Keiser's offense total 517 yards and dominate possession (43:55 time of possession).
• Leads the SUN Conference with 519 rushing yards and nine touchdowns this season.
• Ranks No. 9 in the NAIA in rushing yards per game (103.8) and No. 7 nationally in rushing touchdowns.

 
Violet Apisah, Fourth Year, Sydney, Austrlia​

• Captured her third career ITA Cup singles championship, the most by any women's player and second-most by any player in ITA Cup history.
• Dominated the singles draw, dropping only three total games in her first three matches.
• Clinched the title with a 7-5, 6-2 win in the final.
• Also reached the ITA Cup doubles championship match with her sister Patricia Apisah, finishing as runners-up after a strong run through the bracket.
   

Both Violet and Jaden will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (October) award in November.
