The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks Athletes of the Week on Monday. This week's winners, Jasmyn Hale and Sam Libby, were recognized for their standout performances during the week of Nov. 2.

 
Sam Libby, Second Year, 184lb, Mason, Ohio​

• Became the first Seahawk in program history to win an Open Division championship.
• Captured the 184-pound title with a perfect 5-0 record.
• Recorded three pins on his way to the final.
• Defeated two nationally ranked opponents.
• A fall over No. 15 Justin Bartee (University of Rio Grande) in the third period in the semifinals.
• A close 9-6 decision over No. 14 Cory Cannan (Lindsey Wilson) in the championship bout.

   

Jasmyn Hale, Fourth Year, F, Shakopee, Mn.​

• Posted 27 points over two games, averaging 13.5 points per game on 45.8% shooting.
• Shot an impressive 50% from three-point range (5-for-10).
• Recorded a season-high 23 points in the win over Reinhardt, going 9-for-11 from the field and a perfect 5-for-5 from beyond the arc.
• Added 14 rebounds, 7 assists, and 4 steals across the two-game stretch.

Both Sam and Jasmyn will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (October) award in November.
