The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks Athletes of the Week on Monday. This week's winners, Isaiah Aleksenko and Alanis Santiago, were recognized for their standout performances during the week of Jan 11th.

 
Isaiah Aleksenko, Second Year, Fly/Back, Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands​

• Delivered a standout performance against the reigning NCAA Division II National Champions
• Won two individual events: 200 Fly (1:48.80) and 50 Back (22.58)
• Captured the 200 Fly despite drawing the maximum distance, winning the event by two seconds
• Played a pivotal role in two relay victories, swimming on the 100 Medley Relay (41.38) and 100 Free Relay (38.50)
• Helped Keiser secure four total event wins (two individual, two relay) during the meet
• Demonstrated versatility across multiple strokes, contributing in butterfly, backstroke, and freestyle relay legs

   

Alanis Santiago, Second Year, Free, Manati, Puerto Rico​

• Made an immediate impact in her Keiser University debut
• Won two individual events: 500 Free (5:07.60) and 100 Free (51.85)
• Contributed to the victory in the 100 Medley Relay as the freestyle leg (48.77)
• Accounted for half of Keiser's individual event wins against Division II Tampa
• Demonstrated versatility by excelling in both sprint and distance freestyle events
• Played a key role in Keiser's strongest performances of the meet

Both Aleksenko and Santiago will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (January) award in Febuary.
