The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks Athletes of the Week on Tuesday. This week's winners, Camerin James and Mackenzie Masternak, were recognized for their standout performances during the week of Feb 15th.

Camerin James, Third Year, F, Apopka, Fla.

• Powered Keiser's offense in a perfect 2-0 week
• Averaged 18.5 points per game while shooting an efficient 51.9% from the floor
• Opened the week with a dominant 20-point performance in a 105-63 victory over Webber International
• Also controlled the glass with 12 rebounds, recording a double-double in the win
• Scored 17 points in a 91-84 road victory at No. 4 Ave Maria, shooting 6-of-13 from the floor
• With his final free-throw of the night, he scored his 999th point of his career
• Averaged 9.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game for the week

 

Mackenzie Masternak, Fourth Year, Pitcher, Sparta, New Jersey

• Finished the week with a 2-0 record in the circle
• Logged a team-high 13.0 innings pitched during the week
• Posted a 2.69 ERA, allowing just eight hits while no allowing a walk
• Opened the week with a complete-game victory over Fort Lauderdale
• Limited the opposition to a .161 team batting average
• Ended the week with nine strikeouts 
• Averaged 4.85 Ks per seven innings

Both James and Masternak will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (February) award in March.
