The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks Athletes of the Week on Monday. This week's winners, MacKenzie Gibaud and Iver Sokhan-Sanj, were recognized for their standout performances during the week of March 15th.

 
MacKenzie Gibaud, Fourth Year, Attacker, Rochester, N.Y.

• Led the Seahawks to a 2-0 week with wins over No. 10 Lawrence Technological University and Calvin University
• Recorded 10 points on nine goals and one assist across two games
• Opened the week with five goals and one assist in an 18-4 win over Lawrence Tech
• Followed with four goals in a 12-11 victory over Calvin
• Totaled 11 shots with 10 on goal for the week
• Posted an 81.8% shooting percentage and 90.9% shots-on-goal rate
• Added three ground balls and five caused turnovers defensively
• Consistently pressured opposing defenses while leading Keiser's offensive production

 

Iver Sokhan-Sanj, Second Year, Lørenskog, Norway

• Claimed individual medalist honors at the Kona Ice Keiser Kup with a 209 (-4) total
• Fired an opening-round 67 (-4) — the lowest round of the tournament
• Posted consistent rounds of 67-71-71 to secure a wire-to-wire victory
• Earned his second individual title of the season and third top-3 finish of the year
• Led the field with 11 birdies and added one eagle
• Shot even par on Par 3s and 5-under on Par 5s for the tournament
• Recorded 34 par putts across three rounds
• Currently ranked No. 7 in the NAIA according to Clippd rankings

Both Gibauld and Sokhan-Sanj will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (March) award in April.
