The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks Athletes of the Week on Monday. This week's winners, sophomore midfielder
Eric Neron-Bancel and sophomore setter
Mallory Dills, were recognized for their performances during the week of Sept. 14.
Eric Neron-Bancel, Second Year, MF, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
- Guided the No. 17-ranked Seahawks to a 1-0-1 road record this past week
- The second-year midfielder opened the week, recording 22 minutes of action as Keiser drew at Thomas (Ga.), 1-1
- Two days later, Neron-Bancel netted two goals and had one assists as the Seahawks dominated Brewton-Parker, 6-0
- The win was Head Coach Gavin Oldham's 100th of his Keiser career
- On the year, Neron-Bancel is tied for second on the team with five points (2g, 1a), taking just five shots
Mallory Dills, Second Year, S, Indianapolis, Indiana
- Dills had a standout week at the helm of the Keiser offense, totaling 63 assists over six sets for an impressive 10.5 assists per set average
- Set the tone against Webber Int'l, dishing out 41 assists to guide the Seahawks to a .233 team hitting percentage in a decisive 3-0 sweep of the Warriors
- She added 22 assists and a perfect 1.000 hitting percentage at St. Thomas
- Dills also contributed eight digs, two block assists, and two kills on three swings (.667) during this week's action
- On the year, Dills has recorded 333 total assists
- Averaging 10.09 assists per set, Dills ranks No. 12 in the NAIA this season
Both Little and Gabankitse will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (September) award in October.
