The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks Athletes of the Week on Monday. This week's winners, senior quarterback
Shea Spencer and senior forward
Lauren Riley, were recognized for their performances during the week of Oct. 12.
Shea Spencer, Senior, QB, Vero Beach, Florida
- Named the Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week
- Completed 19-of-30 passes (63.3%) for 290 yards and four touchdowns in the win over Florida Memorial
- With his four-touchdown performance, he became Keiser's all-time leader in passing touchdowns (63)
- His 290 passing yards were the fourth-most of his career, while his 175.2 passer efficiency rating led the conference for the week
- Spencer's four-touchdown game was the fourth of his career and the seventh in program history
- He also added 16 rushing yards on three carries
- Currently leads the Sun Conference in completion percentage and ranks No. 14 in the NAIA
- With his performance, Keiser extended its unbeaten streak in Sun Conference action to 21 straight games
Lauren Riley, Fourth Year, F, Staffordshire, England
- Named the Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week
- Scored a hat trick against Ave Maria in 15 minutes of game time
- It was her fourth hat trick of her career
- Her five goals in Sun Conference action have her tied for the lead atop the leaderboard
- She now leads the team this season with nine goals
Both Riley and Spencer will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (October) award in November.
