The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks HSS Athletes of the Week on Friday. This week's winners, senior tennis player Soufiane El Mesbahi and junior pitcher Lizzy Small were recognized for their performances during the week of March 31.

Soufiane El Mesbahi, Fourth Year, Tangier, Morocco

• Named Sun Conference Player of the Wee fo the second straight week.
• El Mesbahi remained undefeated in NAIA play with a 2-0 mark in singles and a 2-0 record in doubles
• In the win over No. 19 SCAD, he earned his second top-20 win of the season
• Keiser has now earned a shutout in nine of their 12 wins after adding four more this week

Lizzy Small, Third Year, P/3B, Sarasota, Florida

• Led Keiser to a series win over No. 18 Coastal Georgia to claim first place in the Sun Conference
• Hit .667 with two RBI and a run scored in the series
• Also appeared in two games in the circle, going 1-1 with a 2.80 ERA
• Earned the series-clinching win, allowing two runs on five hits in 4.0 innings as the Seahawks defeated the Mariners, 5-2

Both El Mesbahi and Small will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (March) awarded in April which will be featured on ESPN West Palm (106.3 FM).
