The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks HSS Athletes of the Week on Monday. This week's winners, junior linebacker Jaelin Willis and freshman forward Emilia Nilsson were recognized for their performances during the week of October 8.

Jaelin Willis, Third Year, LB, Fort Myers, Fla.

• Named this week's Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the first time this season and the second of his career.
•  Helped lead the Seahawks to a 21-14 win over No. 16 St. Thomas on Saturday
• Registered a team-high eight tackles to become the school's leader in career tackles (201).
• Broke up two passes (both at the line a scrimmage) and forced his fourth fumble of the season.
• The Keiser defense held St. Thomas to its lowest point total of the season (14) and the lowest since October 24, 2020.
• The win improved the Seahawks to 5-0 all-time versus the Bobcats and an all-time mark in Sun Conference action to 8-0.
• Leads the Seahawks and the conference in total tackles (39), averaging a league-best 7.8 tackles per game.

Emilia Nilsson, First Year, F, Kalmar, Sweden

• Earned her way back into the starting lineup on the road against Warner and made an immediate impact.
• Assisted on the second goal of the game versus Warner, grabbing one for herself to make it 6-0.
• Against Webber, she scored the opening goal in the 14th minute of the game to lead Keiser to their second straight road win before assisting on a goal less than a minute later. 
• The newcomer is now tied for second on the team in goals, assists, and points.

Both Willis and Nilsson will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (October) awarded in November which will be featured on ESPN West Palm (106.3 FM).
