The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks HSS Athletes of the Week on Tuesday. This week's winners, sophomore Didrik Liljekvist and sophomore Violet Apisah were recognized for their performances during the week of February 4.

Didrik Liljekvist, Second Year, Stockholm, Sweden

• Named Sun Conference Player of the Week.
• Helped the Seahawks defeat Division III, No. 12 Gustavus Adolphus, 7-0 and Division II, No. 2 Barry, 5-2.
• In doubles, he and Soufiane El Mesbahi were the clinching points in both matches on court one.
• In singles, he clinched the shutout over Gustavus Adolphus and fought from behind against David Rieme of Barry to win in the super tiebreak.

Violet Apisah, Second Year, Sydney, Australia

• Named Sun Conference Player of the Week.
• She helped the Seahawks to a 2-0 record on the week with wins over Division II, No. 1Barry and Division II, Palm Beach Atlantic.
• Facing six-time defending Division II National Champions Barry, Apisah clinched the doubles point and the match point.
• A few days later, she had the reverse effect, pairing with her sister in doubles, they took the first point in doubles and Violet proceeded to take the first point in singles en route to a 6-1 Seahawks win.

Both Liljekvist and Apisah will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (February) awarded in March which will be featured on ESPN West Palm (106.3 FM).
