The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks HSS Athletes of the Week on Monday. This week's winners, junior forward Vincent Miszkiewicz and junior forward Elise Ellison were recognized for their performances during the week of December 10.

Vincent Miszkiewicz, Third Year, F, South Elgin, Ill.

• Named this week's Sun Conference Player of the Week.
• Earned his second weekly conference honor of the season.
• Helped the Seahawks to a 1-1 record on the week.
• Miszkiewicz led the team with a career-high 26 points on Wednesday also bringing down 21 rebounds which earned him his ninth double-double of the season.
• On Saturday, Miszkiewicz tied his career-high rebounding total with 22 boards in just 29 minutes of action.
• Following this weekend, Miszkiewicz continues to lead the NAIA in the rebounding category, upping his average to 16.7 rebounds per game.

Elise Ellison, Third Year, Lexington, Ky.

• Ellison shot a blistering 62 percent from the field to help Keiser to a 1-1 record this past week. 
• The native of Lexington, Kentucky, averaged 15.5 points per game posting 9.0 rebounds per contest.
• Ellison opened the week with a 15-point, 12-rebounds outing at (rv) Brewton-Parker for her fourth double-double of the season.
• She added a 16-point performance on Saturday to lead the Seahawks to a 74-53 win over Thomas (Ga.).
• Ellison is averaging 13.3 points per game this season (No. 6 in the conference) and is third in the league in rebounding, averaging 8.8 per contest. 
• She is second in the SUN in shooting, converting 56.0 percent of her attempts from the floor.

Both Miszkiewicz and Ellison will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (December) awarded in January which will be featured on ESPN West Palm (106.3 FM).
