The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks Athletes of the Week on Wednesday. This week's winners, senior men's tennis player Yassir Kilani and senior women's tennis player Vanja Vidanovic, were recognized for their performances during the week of April 6.

Yassir Kilani, Fourth Year, Rabat, Morocco

• Guided Keiser to a 2-0 record versus NCAA Division II teams last week
• Finished the week with a 2-0 in singles action (at the No. 1 position)
• Opened the week with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Palm Beach Atlantic's Luis Eduardo Platas
• Defeated the No. 10-player in NCAA Division II, downing Saint Leo's Vincent Thiel, 7-5, 6-1
• His point was crucial in the Seahawk's 4-3 win over the No. 9-ranked Lions
• With the two wins at the No. 1 spot this past week, Kilani is now 4-0 as the Seahawk's No. 1
• On the year, Kilani is 10-3 in singles play overall and 7-2 in dual matches

Vanja Vidanovic, Fourth Year, Subotica, Serbia

• Named this week's Sun Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week
• The award marks the first weekly honor of Vidanovic's career
• Helped Keiser to wins over Division II Palm Beach Atlantic and Division II, No. 30 Saint Leo
• In singles, went 2-0 in two matches allowing just five games to her opponents
• In doubles, she and Liza Velykorodna went 2-0 on the week and are now ranked No. 10 by the ITA
• Currently ranks first in all-time wins at Keiser with 159

Both Vidanovic and Kilani will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (April) award in May.
