The Keiser Athletic Department announced the 2024-25 Seahawks HSS Athletes of the Month for the month of September on Wednesday. This month's winners, junior forward
Lauren Riley and junior running back
Andrew Burnette, have been recognized for their play during the month.
Lauren Riley, Third Year, F, Staffordshire, England
- Guided No. 2 Keiser to a perfect 7-0-0 record during the month
- Named the Sun Conference and NAIA Offensive Player of the Week (Week of September 8)
- Posted eight goals and two assists for 18 points during the month
- Had two goals in a 3-2 win over No. 3 Tennessee Southern
- Recorded her second hat trick of her career with three goals at Florida Memorial
- Had two game-winning goals in September
- Accounted for 32 percent of the team's scoring during the month
- Produced 37 total shots with 23 on net for the Seahawks
Andrew Burnette, Third Year, RB, Jensen Beach, Fla.
- Helped the No. 1-ranked Seahawks to a 3-0 record during the month
- Produced 37 carries for 246 yards and four touchdowns
- Had a season-high 130 yards on 13 carries in the Seahawk's 42-33 win at Newberry College
- The 100-yard rushing performance was the first of the season for the Jensen Beach product and the fourth of his Keiser career
- The three rushing touchdowns tied his career high set during last year's NAIA Football Championship Series (versus Bethel TN)
- Scored on a 75-yard run versus the Wolves. The run is tied for the third longest rush from scrimmage in program history
- Picked up his fourth rushing touchdown of the season with a four-yard run versus Fort Lauderdale
- Averaged 6.6 yards per carry during the month
