The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks Athletes of the Week on Monday. This week's winners, senior guard Elliana Schaefer and senior wrestler Miguel Hernandez, were recognized for their performances during the week of February 23.

Miguel Hernandez, Fourth Year, 165 LBS, Dade City, Florida

• Earned a bid to the NAIA National Tournament
• Was named an AAC All-Conference selection with a second-place finish (165)
• Championship Round 1: won by tech fall over Gailan Wilds (Brewton-Parker) (17-0)
• Quarterfinal: won by decision over No.17 Nathan Napolitano (Reinhardt) (6-1)
• Semifinal: won by decision over No. 5 Matt Jenkins (Reinhardt) (4-3)
• Hernandez has posted an `8-7 overall record this season
• He is 6-2 in AAC action
• Recorded two major decisions, seven tech falls, and one fall

Elliana Schaefer, Fourth Year, G, Castalia, Ohio

• Named the Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season
• For Schaefer, it was the third of her career at Keiser
• The Castalia, Ohio, native posted double-digits in both of her starts this week totaling 34 points
• Recorded a total of four steals, two in each game
• Schaefer shot 50% from beyond the arc in the win over Coastal Georgia with four three pointers
• Went a perfect 2-for-2 from the free throw line versus the Mariners

Both Schaefer and Hernandez will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (February) award in March.
