The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks Athletes of the Week on Tuesday. This week's winners, senior forward Elise Ellison and sophomore guard Calvin Sirmans were recognized for their performances during the week of January 12.

Calvin Sirmans, Second Year, G, Lake Worth, Fla.

• Guided the No. 21-ranked Seahawks to a 2-0 record last week
• Led Keiser to wins at Southeastern (76-71) and versus Webber Int'l (88-61)
• On Wednesday, Sirmans led the Seahawks to a win at Southeastern with a team-high 24 points
• He was crucial for the win down the stretch, tallying the final 11 points for KU in the game
• On Saturday, he showed the other side of his game, registering eight assists in the win over Webber
• Sirmans is now third in the NAIA in assists and assists per game
• On the year, Sirmans is averaging 14.6 points per game on 41.4 percent shooting

Elise Ellison, Fourth Year, F, Lexington, Ky.

• Second Sun Conference weekly award of the season for Ellison, and her first in the offensive category
• Recorded 36 points on the week, leading the Seahawks to a 1-1 record, including 23 points against Webber International
• Shot 61.5% from the free-throw line, going 8-for-13
• Her three free throws on Saturday made her the school record holder for career free throws made, reaching 324
• Grabbed 16 total rebounds, coming just one shy of a double-double in her performance versus the Warriors

Both Sirmans and Ellison will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (January) award in February.
