The Keiser Athletic Department announced the 2024-25 Seahawks Athletes of the Month for the month of October on Thursday. This month's winners, junior forward
Lauren Riley and sophomore wide receiver
Refeno Vangates, have been recognized for their play during the month.
Lauren Riley, Third Year, F, Staffordshire, England
- Helped lead No. 2 Keiser to a 5-0-1 record (2-0-1 in SUN action)
- Named the Sun Conference and NAIA Offensive Player of the Week (Oct. 14)
- Posted three goals and four assists for 10 points during the month
- Had three game-winning goals during the month
- Had a goal and an assist in back-to-back shutout victories (6-0 vs. New College of Florida; 3-0 at Ave Maria)
- Notched two assists in a 4-0 win versus Southeastern
- Accounted for 47.6 percent of the team's total points
Refeno Vangates, Second Year, WR, Hialeah, Fla.
- Led the No. 1-ranked football team to a 3-0 SUN record
- Named the Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week (October 7)
- Finished the month with 14 catches for 227 yards and two touchdowns
- Led Keiser to a 31-27 win at No. 6 St. Thomas on Saturday, October 5
- Recorded a school-record 142 yards on four catches with two TDs versus the Bobcats
- Grabbed a career-high seven catches for 45 yards at Southeastern
- Also returned five kicks for 137 yards (27.4 average)
