The Keiser Athletic Department announced the 2024-25 Seahawks Athletes of the Month for the month of February on Monday. This month's winners, senior swimmer
Ines Laurent and freshman swimmer
Isaiah Aleksenko, have been recognized for their play during the month.
Ines Laurent, Fourth Year, Free/Fly, Lausanne, Switzerland
- Scored 60 points for the Seahawks as Keiser claimed its third straight Sun Conference title
- Recorded eight wins with victories in the 200 Medley Relay, 50 Free, 800 Free Relay, 200 Free Relay, 100 Fly, 100 Free, 400 Free Relay, 400 Medley Relay
- Posted a school record in the 100 Free with a time of 50.50
- Set the meet records in the 50 Free (23.31), 100 Fly (54.72), 400 Medley Relay (3:45.40)
- Guided the Seahawks to Gold in the 200 Medley Relay (1:43.01)
- Also, swam lead leg of the 800 Free Relay (7:38.43) for another Keiser win
- Registered another relay victory with a 1:34.03 in the 200 Free Relay
- Claimed her eighth all-conference honor with a first-place finish in the 400 Free (3:26.31)
Isaiah Aleksenko, First Year, Fly/Back, Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands
- Named the Sun Conference Swimmer of the Year
- Scored 60 points for the Seahawks as Keiser claimed its third straight Sun Conference title
- Claimed five wins with victories in the 100 Fly, 200 Fly, 100 Back, 200 Free Relay, and 400 Medley Relay
- Set an NAIA record in the 100 Fly with a time of 45.94
- Posted a school and meet record in the 100 Back first with a prelims time of 47.27 then with a time of 46.49 in the finals
- Set another NAIA (school and meet) record with a time of 1:44.55 in the 200 Fly
- Was the lead leg in both the 400 Free and 400 Medley Relays, leading the Seahawks to two first-place finishes
- The Seahawks set a meet record in the 400 Medley with a time of 3:12.17 and another meet record in the 400 Free Relay with a mark of 2:56.46
