The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks Athletes of the Week on Monday. This week's winners, junior forward Maria Vilhena and junior swimmer Noel De Geus were recognized for their performances during the week of December 8.

Noel De Geus, Third Year, Hildesheim, Germany

• Scored 92 points for the Seahawks at the Zippy Invitational 
• Had a phenomenal midseason meet for the Seahawks, winning three individual finals and two relays against three NCAA opponents
• His best event was the 50 Free on day two where his time set a meet record, pool record, NAIA record, and school record
• De Geus was also part of the 200 Medley Relay and 400 Medley Relay which both broke NAIA National records
• He was the opening leg in the 200 free relay that also broke the meet record, pool record, NAIA record, and school record
• Recorded A Standards in the 50 Free, the 100 Breast, the 200 Breast, and the 100 Fly
• Also posted a B Standard in the 200 Fly

Maria Vilhena, Third Year, F, Faro, Portugal

• Led Keiser to its fourth NAIA National Championship Game
• Scored three goals at the final site
• Totaled 13 shots with six on net
• Averaged 4.30 shots per game
• Scored the game-winner in overtime to send the Seahawks to the National Championship Game
• Has registered a goal in each of the team's game in the NAIA Tournament (5)
• On the year, Vilhena has scored 14 goals with five assists for 33 points

Both De Geus and Vilhena will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (December) award in January.
