The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks Athletes of the Week on Tuesday. This week's winners, senior guard Elliana Schaefer and junior guard Tyreon Payne were recognized for their performances during the week of November 24.

Tyreon Payne, Third Year, G, Baton Rouge, La.

• Helped Keiser to two more wins this week with his best scoring performances of the season
• Averaged 21.5 points per game on 48.3 percent shooting
• On Tuesday, he had 16 points in 24 minutes of action to lead all scorer
• He also led the Seahawks on Saturday in a win over Sun Conference foe Warner
• Payne also averaged 4.5 assists on the week
• The Seahawks are now tied for first in the Sun Conference standings with Ave Maria

Elliana Schaefer, Fourth Year, G, Castalia, Ohio

• Named the Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week
• The award marks the first of the season for Schaefer, the second of her career
• The Castalia, Ohio native recorded a career high of 28 points in the Seahawks win over Warner
• Lead Keiser to a 2-0 week, shooting 69.2% outside the arc going 14-for-20
• Went a perfect six-for-six from the free throw line versus Warner
• Added a steal and block to her performance against Fort Lauderdale

Both Payne and Schaefer will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (November) award in December.
