Keiser swimming and diving Head Coach
Adam Epstein announced on Monday the hiring of Owen Lloyd as assistant coach.
Â
"We are extremely excited to welcome Owen to West Palm Beach and our Keiser family," Epstein said. "He brings a wealth of knowledge from his competitive background that I know will translate well and resonate with our team and recruits."
Â
"I am honored to join the Keiser Swim and Dive coaching staff," Lloyd said. "Coach Epsein has built a program of excellence here, and I am excited to use what I have learned as a coach and an athlete to add to an already elite culture that produces National Champions. Go Seahawks!"
Â
Prior to joining the Seahawks, Lloyd worked as the Head Coach of Platinum & Varsity groups, and as the Assistant Coach of Pre-Senior & Senior groups at New Wave Swim Team. During that time he was also a private lessons instructor for Wolfpack Elite and a part-time graduate assistant for the North Carolina State Swim Team. In the summer of 2025, Lloyd was a motivational speaker for Okaloosa County Schools and was a keynote speaker for 3,500 staff.
As a swimmer, Lloyd captured the ACC Championship in the 1,650 freestyle and finished fifth nationally in the event at the NCAA Championships. He also cemented his place in the program record book with the seventh-fastest 500 freestyle time in school history (4:14.51), the sixth-fastest 1,000 freestyle mark (8:47.51), and the third-fastest 1,650 freestyle time (14:29.13). In 2023-24, Lloyd qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials and placed 10th in the 400 IM while also earning a fifth-place finish in the 1,650 freestyle at the NCAA Championships. He secured bronze medals in both the 500 freestyle and 400 IM at the ACC Championships, performances that ranked among the fastest times in program history in each event. The previous season, he earned All-American honors at the NCAA Championships after posting a personal-best 14:46.16 in the 1,650 freestyle, moving him to sixth all-time in school history. He also earned his first ACC bronze medal in the 400 IM with a lifetime-best 3:42.16 while adding top-eight finishes in both the 500 freestyle and 1,650 freestyle at the conference championships. As a sophomore in 2021-22, he cracked NC State's all-time top 10 in the 1,650 freestyle with a career-best 14:50.85, and during his freshman season in 2020-21, he recorded NCAA B-cut times in the mile while posting season-best performances in the 500 freestyle and 400 IM.
Lloyd graduated from North Carolina State University with a bachelor of science in business management and a concentration in entrepreneurship in 2024. He went on to earn his master of arts in liberal studies with a focus in coaching leadership and psychology in 2026
