The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks HSS Athletes of the Week on Monday. This week's winners, senior guard Core'von Lott and sophomore guard Elliana Schaefer, were recognized for their play during the week of December 18.

Core'von Lott, Sr., G, Chicago, Ill.

• Helped Keiser finish 2-2 this past week. 
• Lott led the team in points and assists over the four games averaging 16.8 points and just under three assists per game.
• Down the stretch against McPherson, the Seahawks trusted in Lott who secured Keiser's sixth win of the year.
• He followed the performance with 14 points in just 17 minutes against Johnson two days later.
• On the year, Lott is averaging 16.7 points per game and 3.4 rebounds per contest.
• His scoring average of 16.7 ranks No. 4 in the conference.
• Leads the Seahawks in assists (39).

Elliana Schaefer, So., G, Castalia, Ohio

• Assisted the Seahawks in a perfect 3-0 record this past week.
• Averaged 11.3 points per game this week with eight 3-pointers, 13 rebounds, four assists, and four steals.
• Opened the week with eight points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals versus Thomas (Ga.)
• Hit a crucial 3-pointer during the team's 10-0 run in the fourth quarter versus the Night Hawks.
• Scored 10 points and grabbed five rebounds during's KU''s victory over Brescia.
• Posted a career-high 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including four treys as Keiser defeated Saint Francis (Ind.).
• On the year, Schaefer is averaging 7.9 points per game and leads the team in 3-point shooting (34.8 percent).
• She has recorded 22 assists and 19 steals this season.

Both Lott and Schaefer will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (December) awarded in early January which will be featured on ESPN West Palm (106.3 FM).
