The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks HSS Athletes of the Week on Monday. This week's winners, junior quarterback Bryce Veasley and sophomore forward Elise Ellison-Coons, were recognized for their play during the week of November 27.

Bryce Veasley, Jr., QB, Southfield, Mich.

• Guided Keiser to a 29-28 win over the No. 1-ranked Morningside Mustangs.
• Completed 17-of-29 passes for 226 yards.
• Connected on one touchdown - the go-ahead score  - on a 76-yard completion to Jaylen Arnold.
• The touchdown pass to Arnold was the longest touchdown pass in Keiser history.
• The 226 yards passing were a career high at Keiser for Veasley.
• Helped Keiser advance to the NAIA FCS Semifinals (second appearance).
• Handed the Mustangs their first loss in 25 games and first home loss since the 2015 season.

Elise Ellison-Coons, So., F, Lexington, Ky.

• Averaged 11.0 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per contest as Keiser finished the week 1-1.
• Sealed the 54-53 win over (rv) Siena Heights on Sunday after stealing an inbound pass as time expired.
• Grabbed a team-high-tying 10 rebounds in the victory. 
• Opened the week with a 14-point, nine-rebound outing versus Lawrence Tech on Saturday.
• On the year, Ellison-Coons is averaging 8.3 points per game and 9.0 rebounds per contest while shooting 40.0 percent for the floor.

Both Veasley and Ellison-Coons will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (November) awarded in early December which will be featured on ESPN West Palm (106.3 FM).
