The Keiser Athletic Department announced the Seahawks HSS Athletes of the Month for the month of September on Monday. This month's winners, sophomore setter
Hannah Heide and sophomore quarterback
Shea Spencer, have been recognized for their play during the past month.
The winners of the Seahawks HHS Athletes of the Month will be featured on ESPN West Palm (106.3 FM).
Hannah Heide, So., S, Jupiter, Florida
- Heide was the school's only two-time Keiser Player of the Week during the month.
- She helped guide the Seahawks to a 10-2 record in the month (3-1 Sun Conference action).
- The native of Jupiter, Florida, was named the Sun Conference Setter of the Week four times during the month.
- She totaled 455 assists, averaging 10.50 assists per set.
- Heide posted 40+ assists five times in September.
- She also also registered 94 digs (2.19 per set)
- In all, the sophomore setter tallied four double-double in the month.
Shea Spencer, So., QB, Vero Beach, Fla.
- Opened the season, throwing for 904 yards on 89-of-139 passing (61.9 percent).
- Was named the Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
- Has thrown five touchdowns during the opening month of the season.
- Guided KU to a 44-7 win over Warner to start the season.
- Spencer became just the second player in KU history to throw for over 300 yards, completing 22-of-28 passes versus the Royals and collecting a career-high three TD passes.
- He followed that up completing 22-of-42 passes for 263 yards and two touchdowns at Valdosta State.
- The native of Vero Beach, Florida, completed 20-or-more passes in every game to start the season.
