The Keiser Athletic Department announced the Seahawks HSS Athletes of the Month for the month of November on Monday. This month's winners, senior guard
Shykim Gillion and sophomore running back
Jaden Meizinger, have been recognized for their play during the past month.
The winners of the Seahawks HHS Athletes of the Month will be featured on ESPN West Palm (106.3 FM).
Shykim Gillion, Sr., G, Delray Beach, Florida
- Started in all six games for the Seahawks.
- Averaged 13.5 points per game and 5.0 rebounds per contest.
- Scored in double-figures in five of the team's six games.
- Named the Sun Conference Player of the Week (11/7/2022).
- Scored a season-high 23 points versus Lawrence Tech (11/26/22).
- Notched three-or-more steals three times during the month.
- Finished the month shooting 53.2 percent from the floor (33-of-62).
- Also recorded 10 assists and a team-high 14 steals during the month.
Jaden Meizinger, So., RB, Port St. Lucie, Florida
- Named the NAIA Outstanding Offensive Player of the Game in both playoff games during the month.
- Rushed for 377 yards and five touchdowns on the month as the Seahawks advanced to the NAIA FCS Semifinals.
- Recorded 114 yards on 13 carries with two touchdowns at Webber Int'l (11/12/2022) as Keiser claimed its fourth straight conference title.
- Posted 166 yards – second-most of his career – on 28 carries with a touchdown at No. 4 Bethel (Tenn.) (11/19/2022).
- Posted two 100-yard games during the month and averaged 5.5 yards per carry.
- Closed out the month with a two-touchdown performance at No. 1 Morningside (11/26/2022), handing the Mustangs their first home loss since 2015.
- During the month, Meizinger registered 396 all-purpose yards.
- Meizinger averaged 125.7 yards rushing per game in November.
- On the year, Meizinger has recorded over 1,000 yards rushing with 14 rushing touchdowns (tied for No. 9 in the nation).
