The Keiser Athletic Department announced its Seahawks Athletes of the Week on Monday. This week's winners, freshman midfielder
Rui Reis and sophomore setter
Hannah Heide, were recognized for their play during the week of September 4.
Rui Reis, Fr., MF, Lisbon, Portugal
- Finished the week with three points (1g, 1a).
- Gave the Seahawks an early 1-0 lead with a score in the fifth minute at Point (Ga.).
- Assisted on the go-ahead goal by Lucas Jacobs in the 41st minute.
- Has appeared in both contests for the Seahawks this season.
- Leads the team in points (5), and goals scored (2).
- Has produced one game-winning goal this season.
- Leads the team in total shots (6) and is tied for the lead in shots on goal (4).
Hannah Heide, So., S, Jupiter, Fla.
- Named this week's Sun Conference Volleyball Setter of the Week.
- Led the Seahawks to a 6-0 record this past week.
- Heide posted 19 kills, nine blocks, four service aces, and 159 total assists (8.37 per set) in six games.
- After this weekend, Heide moved into third place all-time in school history for career assists.
- Heide's play helped Keiser win six games, including five straight shutouts.
- Recorded 20-or-more assists in each of the team's six matches this past week.
- Has recorded nine double-doubles and three triple-doubles in 2022.
Both Reis and Heidi will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (September) awarded in early October which will be featured on ESPN West Palm (106.3 FM).
