The Keiser Athletic Department announced its Seahawks Athletes of the Week on Monday. This week's winners, junior forward
Adrian Camacho Castro and senior defender
Maja Henriksson, were recognized for their play during the week of September 11.
Adrian Camacho Castro, Jr., F, Bogota, Colombia
- Recorded four goals (8 pts.) as Keiser finished the week, 1-0-1.
- Scored three goals in an 11-0 win over Brewton-Parker on Thursday.
- The hat trick was his first of the season and the third of his Keiser career.
- Added a goal in the team's 3-3 tie at Lindsey Wilson on Saturday.
- Ranks second on the season in goals and points.
- Has recorded 12 total shots with five on net this season.
Maja Henriksson, Sr., D, Gothenburg, Sweden
- Had a strong week on the defensive line for the Seahawks, collecting three wins including two over No. 17 ranked teams.
- Capped her week with her first two goals of the season in a 2-0 win over No. 17 Cumberland (Tenn.).
- Blocked a clearance for her first goal and then stepped up for a 28-yard free-kick that she drilled into the upper right corner of the net.
- The Seahawks' defense allowed just nine shots on target over their three games.
- Henriksson has recorded two goals and six assists for 10 points this season.
- Keiser has shut out five opponents this season.
Both Camacho Castro and Henriksson will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (September) awarded in early October which will be featured on ESPN West Palm (106.3 FM).
