The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks HSS Athletes of the Week on Monday. This week's winners, senior tight end
Jaylen Arnold and sophomore forward
Oline Sundgot, were recognized for their play during the week of October 9.
Jaylen Arnold, Sr., TE, La Mesa, Calif.
- Arnold caught his fifth and sixth touchdown passes of the 2022 season to help lead the Keiser Seahawks to a 36-31 win over the No. 16-ranked St. Thomas Bobcats on Saturday.
- The senior needed just three catches to register 83 yards versus the Bobcats.
- Arnold caught the game-tying touchdown late in the third quarter, erasing a 17-point deficit.
- He gave the Seahawks their first lead since the second quarter with 75-yard strike - his longest reception of the season.
- On the season, Arnold has caught 29 passes for 374 yards and six touchdowns (No. 14 in the nation).
- Arnold is the school's career-record holder in catches (122), receiving yards (1,624), and touchdowns (24) .
Oline Sundgot, So., F, Ulsteinvik, Norway
- Was named this week's Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
- The forward from Ulsteinvik, Norway had a career-best performance, tallying her first-career hat trick in just 26 minutes of action.
- Her performance helped the No. 1-ranked Seahawks improve to 10-0-1 (1-0-0 SUN) on the year.
- Sundgot joins Kyoka Koshijima and Ramona Kannady as hat trick scorers for the Seahawks this season.
- Currently ranks No. 4 on the team in goals scored (5).
- Has appeared in all 11 games for the Seahawks.
- Notched five goals and three assists for 13 points this season.
Both Arnold and Sundgot will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (October) awarded in early November which will be featured on ESPN West Palm (106.3 FM).
