The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks Players of the Week on Monday. This week's winners, Luisa Fontes and JT Tabora, were recognized for their standout performances during the week of September 27th.

Luisa Fontes, Second Year, Midfielder, Sao Paulo, Brazil

• Was one of three goal scorers in Keiser's 3-1 win over St. Thomas to open conference play
• Her 48th-minute strike proved to be the game-winner, marking her second game-winning goal of the season
• Recorded her fourth goal of the year, totaling two points on the day
• Went 3-for-3 on shots, putting two of three on frame
• Sits third on the team in scoring this season with four goals and one assist for nine points

   

JT Tabora, Second Year, Quarterback, Hollywood, Fla.

• Named the Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week
• Threw for over 300 yards for the first time in his Keiser career, leading the No. 1-ranked Seahawks to a 58-21 win over (RV) Cumberlands (Ky.)
• Completed 16-of-21 passes (76.2%) for 336 yards and three touchdowns, with both his passing yardage and touchdown total marking career highs
• His 336 passing yards were the fourth-most in a single game in program history
• Helped lead Keiser to 642 yards of total offense, the second-most in program history behind 692 yards versus Thomas (Ga.) on Oct. 4, 2025
• Added 9 rushing yards on three carries to go with his passing performance

 
Both Fontes and Tabora will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (September) award in October.
