The Keiser Athletic Department announced this week's Seahawks Athletes of the Week on Wednesday. This week's winners, Nicolaj Kamarin Mahlmann and Cece Worsham, were recognized for their standout performances during the week of August 23rd.

Nicolaj Kamarin Mahlmann, First Year, Forward, Fredericia, Denmark

• Made an immediate impact in his Keiser debut, scoring two goals as the No. 15-ranked Seahawks opened the 2026 season with a 4-0 win over Thomas
• Needed just three shots to net his first two collegiate goals, connecting on a pair of second-half strikes in a span of eight minutes
• Finished the opener with a team-high 4.00 points per game on a .667 shooting clip
• Put all three of his shot attempts on target, converting three of three shots on goal

 

Cece Worsham, Fourth Year, OH, Lima, Ohio

• Opened the 2026 season with a team-best 48 kills across four matches at the Keiser Volleyball Classic
• Recorded two double-doubles over the weekend, marking the ninth and 10th of her Keiser career
• Averaged 3.20 kills per set and 2.27 digs per set on the tournament
• Turned in her best offensive outing versus (RV) Texas Wesleyan, posting 14 kills on a .500 hitting percentage and adding three service aces in the win
• Totaled 55.0 points on the weekend, good for 3.7 points per set
• Chipped in eight total blocks and 77 receptions with a .922 reception percentage across the tournament

 
Both Kamarin Mahlmann and Worsham will now be in the running for the Keiser Athlete of the Month (August) award in September.
