In the Indoor Meet as a freshman, he earned All-American honors in the heptathlon, finishing eighth with 4897 points.

Prevost followed it up with All-American status in Outdoor by taking third in the decathlon with 6,649 points. He was also apart of the All-American 4x100 All-American team that took fifth with a time of 41.35.
