The Keiser men's track and field team concluded competition at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships with a standout performance from freshman Jesse Songo, who earned All-America honors in the 5,000-meter run to highlight the Seahawks' efforts across the three-day meet.
Songo delivered one of the top performances in program history, placing fifth in the men's 5,000 meters with a school-record time of 14:29.32. The mark earned the freshman All-America recognition and capped an impressive debut season on the national stage.
In the 800-meter preliminaries, Adrian Rivadulla represented the Seahawks in the middle-distance event. Rivadulla clocked a time of 1:54.01, finishing 11th overall in the preliminary round.
Senior thrower Casey Wood competed in the shot put finals, recording a mark of 15.36 meters to place 22nd nationally. Wood qualified for the national meet after winning the Sun Conference title with an NAIA A-standard throw earlier in the season.
Keiser was also represented in the triple jump by Braylen Jones, who qualified for his first national championship appearance but was unable to compete due to a late scratch.
The Seahawks' national championship appearance was highlighted by Songo's All-America finish and school-record performance, marking a strong showing for the program on the national stage.
