The 2025-26 Sun Conference Track and Field Specialty Awards were announced today, and Keiser's Casey Wood was named the Sun Conference Men's Most Outstanding Performer following a dominant performance at the 2026 Sun Conference Indoor Championships.

Wood captured the conference title in the shot put with a throw of 17.26 meters, defeating the next closest competitor by 2.89 meters. His mark met the NAIA "A" standard and came just three-hundredths of a meter shy of the Sun Conference record of 17.29 meters, a mark that has stood for three years.

Wood's performance not only secured a conference championship but also solidified his position among the top throwers in the NAIA. His consistency, power, and competitive edge played a key role in Keiser's strong team finish at the championship meet.

On the field, Wood took also took part in the weight throw at the 2026 Sun Conference Indoor Championships and took 7th in the event .
