Jesse Songo Freshman of the Year

Men's Indoor Track & Field

Jesse Songo Named as Sun Conference Indoor T&F Men’sFreshman of the Year

The 2025-26 Sun Conference Track and Field Awards were announced, and Keiser's Jesse Songo was named the Sun Conference Men's Freshman of the Year following a breakout debut season for the Seahawks.

Songo quickly established himself as one of the premier distance runners in the conference, delivering championship-level performances throughout the indoor season. At the Sun Conference Championships, he captured the 5,000-meter title and added a runner-up finish in the 3,000 meters, playing a key role in Keiser's third-place team finish.

His ability to control races, close strong, and consistently score at a high level made an immediate impact for the Seahawks. Competing with poise beyond his years, Songo demonstrated both tactical awareness and endurance in championship settings.

The Freshman of the Year honor recognizes not only his individual accomplishments, but also the foundation he has laid for continued success within the program. With a conference title already to his name, Songo's future in a Keiser uniform looks exceptionally bright.
