Men's Track and Field Set for Sun Conference Championship

The Keiser University men's indoor track & field team is set to compete at the Sun Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship this Friday and Saturday at the Alachua County Sports & Events Center in Gainesville, Florida.

Day one of competition will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, with events continuing into Saturday as the Seahawks look to make a strong statement at the conference meet.

Keiser enters the championship with momentum after a record-setting performance at the Visit Gainesville Indoor Classic. Casey Wood leads the Seahawks in the throws after setting a new school record in the shot put (16.27m) and achieving the NAIA B standard. The men's field events have continued to show depth, highlighted by Braylen Jones, who met the NAIA B standard in the triple jump earlier this season.

On the track, Jesse Songo comes in fresh off a victory in the 5,000 meters and has been a consistent force in the distance events. Adrian Rivadulla continues to provide strength in the middle-distance races, while Dallas Desouza has delivered strong performances in the 400 meters. The Seahawks will also look for key contributions in the relays and sprint events as they compete for team points across all disciplines.

With conference titles and postseason positioning on the line, Keiser will aim to capitalize on its depth and momentum heading into the championship weekend.
