Cavalotti Named Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Year

The Sun Conference announced its 2025 conference award winners on Thursday. Keiser's Adrianna Cavalotti was selected as the Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Year.

  • Becomes the program's first SUN Defensive Player of the Year award winner
  • Named First-Team All-Sun Conference - the second all-conference honor of her career
  • Named the Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Week three times in 2025
  • Appeared in all 15 games for the Seahawks
  • Posted a career-best 69 flag pulls this season (second on the team and tied for second in the nation)
  • Recorded a career-high nine interceptions this season
  • Finished the regular season as the school's all-time leader in interceptions (26)
  • Set the school record for interceptions for touchdowns, producing seven in 2025 (tops in the nation)
  • Tallied 15 pass breakups
  • Tied the school record for flag pulls in a game with 12 versus Reinhardt (3/29)
  • Leads a Keiser defense that is tops in the nation in points allowed (3.0 ppg)
  • Key contributor to the Seahawks producing the most picks this season (47)
  • Ranks No. 8 in the nation is scoring with 90 points

 

The Seahawks will play in the SUN Semifinals versus the St. Thomas Bobcats on Friday, April 18, at 3:30 PM.
