The Keiser flag football team fell to the Ottawa (Kan.) Braves, 34-20, in the 2025 NAIA National Championship Game on Thursday. The Seahawks suffered just their second loss of the season as the Braves took advantage of three straight Keiser turnovers in the third quarter, resulting in 14 points to come away with the victory.
Keiser quarterback
Haylie Young completed 33-of-48 passes for 282 yards and three touchdowns.Three different Seahawks caught a touchdown pass in the game as
Janasia Wilson, Ashela Klam, and
Chloe Griffin all found the endzone. Wilson caught a team-high 13 passes for 97 yards and a score (23 yards). Klam has 76 yards on six catches, including a two-yard TD catch while Griffin recorded four catches for 32 yards and an eight-yard touchdown reception.
Defensively, the Seahawks were led by
Sa'mya Bryant who had seven flag pulls.
Adrianna Cavalotti produced five flag pulls followed by
Kennedy Foster, who had four.
The Seahawks end the 2025 season with a 20-2 record. The 20 wins were the most for the Seahawks in a single season. Keiser produced a league-best 10 All-Sun Conference selections, including the SUN Defensive Player of the Year (
Adrianna Cavalotti).
