The Keiser wrestling team is back on the road this weekend as a focused group of eight Seahawks heads to Lakeland, Florida, to compete in the Southeastern Open, hosted by Southeastern University. Making the trip for Keiser are Trevon Hawkins-Robertson (125), Gunner Musilunas (125), Anthony Piaia (133), Duly Brutus (133), Guy Hoke (141), Phillip Antico (157), Viliam Piekh (174), and David Benjamin (174). The lineup blends a mix of emerging freshmen and experienced returners, several of whom are coming off strong showings at last week's Lucha Open.
Keiser continues to build momentum in the early part of the season, highlighted by national recognition in the latest NAIA poll, where the Seahawks remain receiving votes, and by standout individuals such as No. 12 Sam Libby (184) and No. 24 Jett McCauley (197). Though not competing this weekend, their presence reflects the rising profile of the program under Head Coach Cole Manion.
The Southeastern Open will provide a highly competitive field packed with NAIA powers, strong regional programs, and multiple ranked individuals. Brutus, Musilunas, Antico, and Piekh all look to carry forward momentum from last week, while Piaia, Hoke, and Benjamin aim to continue gaining valuable experience as the season ramps up.
