Peter Davila Named the Sun Conference Assistant Coach of the Year

The Sun Conference announced its 2025 conference award winners on Friday. Defensive Coordinator Peter Davila was selected as the Assistant Coach of the Year in the Sun Conference.

  • Became the first Keiser assistant coach to win the league award
  • Is in his second season with the Seahawks, serving as the defensive coordinator
  • Led a Keiser defense that has allowed 15.8 points per game (No. 10 in the NAIA)
  • The Seahawks produce the fifth-best passing defense in the nation, allowing 157.3 yards per game
  • The Seahawk have allowed only nine passing touchdowns all season while holding opposing quarterbacks to a completion percentage of 43.5
  • Keiser has not allowed a team to throw for over 300 yards all season
  • Keiser's defense ranks No. 17 in the nation in total yards allowed (299.1 ypg)
  • The Keiser defense has produced 61 tackles for loss and 14 sacks on the season
  • The Seahawks have held the opposition under 300 yards of total offense five times, including a season-low 190 versus St. Thomas (10/18)
  • Keiser recorded the program's seventh shutout in program history (45-0 vs WIU – 10/25), holding the Warriors to 199 yards of total offense
  • Coached the Sun Conference Linebacker of the Year, Defensive Lineman of the Year, and SUN Defensive Player of the Year
  • Had four all-conference selections on the defensive side of the ball
 

The Seahawks will host the Second Round of the NAIA Football Championship Series on Saturday, November 29. Kickoff is slated for 1:00 PM.
