The Sun Conference announced its 2025 football position award winners on Thursday afternoon. Junior
Eli Bertrand was selected as Linebacker of the Year in the Sun Conference.
SUN Conference Awards for Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Special Teams Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, Coach of the Year, Assistant Coach of the Year, and Champion of Character will be announced on Friday.

- Becomes the second player in Keiser history to be named the Sun Conference Linebacker of the Year (Jaelin Willis in 2022)
- Named a First-Team All-Sun Conference selection for the first time in his career
- Appeared in all nine games for the Seahawks
- Leads the team in total tackles (65 – No. 3 in the SUN)
- Has recorded 6.0 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks with two pass breakups and one quarterback hurry
- Set the school record for tackles in a game with 17 at Indiana Wesleyan (8/30)
- Produced five or more tackles five times, including nine at Warner (11/15) and at Ave Maria (11/1)
- Has tallied no less than three tackles in every game played this season
- Anchored a Keiser defense that has allowed 15.8 points per game (No. 10 in the NAIA)
- His play on the line has helped the Seahawks produce the fifth-best passing defense in the nation, allowing 157.3 yards per game
- Keiser has not allowed a team to throw for over 300 yards all season
- Keiser's defense ranks No. 17 in the nation in total yards allowed (299.1 ypg)
- The Seahawks have held the opposition under 300 yards of total offense five times, including a season-low 190 versus St. Thomas (10/18)
- Keiser recorded the program's seventh shutout in program history (45-0 vs WIU – 10/25), holding the Warriors to 199 yards of total offense
The Seahawks will host the Second Round of the NAIA Football Championship Series on Saturday, November 29. Kickoff is slated for 1:00 PM.
