The Keiser track and field team competed in the RADD Sports Invitational today, after five Seahawks competed in the men's multis portion of the event yesterday.
Emil Carlsson continued his outstanding freshman campaign by breaking his own indoor pole vault school record (5.10m).
Cole Wilson recorded the third-best indoor heptathlon score in school history, with 5101 points. Wilson's heptathlon score is currently the top score in the NAIA.
Nigel Steenwinkel set a PR in the heptathlon, and recorded the 4th best score in program history. Steenwinkel's score is currently ranked 4th in the NAIA.
Julien David was not far behind, with a heptathlon point total that has him ranked 12th in the NAIA. This was a personal best in points for Steenwinkel and Wilson.

"As a team we always talk about executing and competing at the highest level," said assistant coach David Claybrooks. "Our goal this weekend was to get our athletes qualified for the NAIA indoor nationals, and we were able to accomplish those goals. I'm really proud of our athlete's performances this weekend."

The Keiser track and field team will perform in the Alachua County University Invitational on January 26-27.
