VIERA, Fla. – The Keiser University softball team swept another doubleheader Monday, rallying past Olivet Nazarene 5-3 in the opener before shutting out Cornerstone 8-0 in the nightcap to improve to 20-2 on the season.
In Game One, Keiser found themselves trailing 3-1 heading into the sixth inning before exploding for four runs to take the lead for good. Olivia Shoemaker was the catalyst of the comeback, delivering a three-RBI double in the sixth that erased the deficit and gave the Seahawks a lead they would not relinquish. Macy Schaaf chipped in with an RBI and Sarah Phipps scored twice after drawing two walks to keep the line moving. Mackenzie Masternak started in the circle but was relieved after two innings, with Maggie Miller coming on and delivering five brilliant innings of relief, allowing just three hits while striking out three to earn the win and improve to 4-0 on the season.
Game Two was a masterpiece of late-inning offense. Cornerstone and Keiser were locked in a scoreless game through four innings before the Seahawks erupted for seven runs in the fifth and added one more in the sixth to pull away for the 8-0 victory. Kaci Kidd was the star of the nightcap, going 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI to single-handedly fuel the big fifth inning. Faith Campos went hitless but made her presence known on the bases, swiping three stolen bases to set the table for her teammates. Macy Schaaf added a triple and an RBI, and Mackenzie Masternak was dominant in the circle from start to finish, throwing all six innings of the shutout and allowing just four hits to improve to 11-1 on the season.

- Keiser improved to 20-2 on the season with the sweep, continuing one of the most dominant starts in program history through the first 22 games of the year.
- Maggie Miller was outstanding in relief in Game One, working five innings and allowing just three hits with three strikeouts and no earned runs to improve to 4-0. She now owns a 1.54 ERA over 27.1 innings pitched on the season.
- Olivia Shoemaker continued her breakout stretch with a three-RBI double in the sixth inning of Game One that erased a two-run deficit and gave Keiser the lead for good. She now has eight RBI in just 18 at-bats on the season.
- Kaci Kidd had the best individual performance of the day in Game Two, going 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in the seven-run fifth inning. She now has 14 RBI on the season and is hitting .329.
- Mackenzie Masternak threw a complete game shutout in Game Two, working all six innings and allowing just four hits while striking out two to improve to 11-1 on the season. She has now thrown 83.1 innings on the year.
- Faith Campos stole three bases in Game Two and one in Game One, giving her four stolen bases on the day and pushing her season total to 20.
