No. 11 Softball Return Home to Host Warner in Sun Conference Series

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Keiser University softball team returns to Alumni Field this weekend to continue Sun Conference play with a three-game series against Warner University.

The Seahawks will open the series with a single game on Friday, March 20 at 3:00 p.m., before concluding the weekend with a doubleheader Saturday beginning at 12:00 p.m., with the second game scheduled for 2:00 p.m.

Keiser enters the weekend with a 25-2 overall record and has been one of the most dominant teams in the conference throughout the early portion of the season. The Seahawks have relied on a balanced offensive attack and a deep pitching staff to control games on both sides of the ball.

Offensively, Keiser is led by Faith Campos, who is batting .391 while pacing the team with 24 runs scored and 22 stolen bases. Kaci Kidd has been one of the team's most consistent hitters, batting .383 while leading the Seahawks with 36 hits and 11 doubles. Meanwhile, Genesis Iglesias has provided the power in the middle of the lineup, hitting .351 with five home runs and a team-leading 27 RBI, while also posting a 1.128 OPS.

Several other Seahawks have provided depth throughout the lineup. Macy Schaaf is batting .339 with 16 runs scored, while Sarah Phipps has added 19 RBI and continues to deliver timely hits in key moments. Olivia Shoemaker has also been productive in limited opportunities, hitting .333 with 11 RBI.

In the circle, Keiser features one of the most effective pitching staffs in the conference. Mackenzie Masternak leads the NAIA in wins with a 14-1 record and has thrown 100.1 innings, ranking among the national leaders while compiling 11 complete games and 42 strikeouts. Maggie Miller has also been dominant when called upon, posting a 1.79 ERA with two saves, while Presley Wright adds additional depth with a 4-1 record and a 2.53 ERA.

As a staff, the Seahawks own a 2.07 team ERA and have held opponents to a .222 batting average this season.

Despite Warner holding the overall advantage in the historical series, Keiser has seen improved success in recent seasons and enters the weekend riding a two-game winning streak against the Royals. The Seahawks will look to continue building momentum as conference play progresses.
