Men's Outdoor Record National Marks at Southeastern Spring Break Meet

The Keiser men's outdoor track and field team delivered a strong performance at the Southeastern Spring Break Meet, highlighted by two NAIA national qualifying marks, multiple event victories, and several podium finishes.

Claudio Pugnetti led the way for the Seahawks in the field events, winning the javelin with a throw of 60.53 meters. The mark met the NAIA B standard and secured a national qualifying mark. Armani Norcius also competed in the event, finishing eighth with a throw of 44.28 meters.

Casey Wood added another national qualifying performance in the shot put, placing second with a mark of 16.70 meters to hit the NAIA B standard. Wood also finished third in the hammer throw with a mark of 35.96 meters and sixth in the discus (38.14m). Christian Nicolas joined Wood on the podium in the shot put with a third-place throw of 15.35 meters and later placed second in the discus with a mark of 40.73 meters.

Keiser also dominated the triple jump competition, claiming the top two spots. Charlem Diable captured the event title with a jump of 14.14 meters while Sigmund Le Fjeld finished second at 14.11 meters. Hugo Biget added another podium finish for the Seahawks in the long jump, placing third with a leap of 7.02 meters.

On the track, Rameau Estime captured the 110-meter hurdles title with a winning time of 14.81 after qualifying through the preliminary round earlier in the day. Tyler Seraphin also advanced to the final, finishing sixth.

Alex Cruz turned in a strong sprint performance, placing third in the 100 meters with a time of 10.76 and finishing fourth in the 200 meters with a personal-best time of 21.93.

Dallas Desouza highlighted the quarter-mile group with a second-place finish in the 400 meters, crossing the line in 48.66. Francesco De Nicola recorded a personal best in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:12.87 before adding a fifth-place finish in the 800 meters.

In the combined events, Arthur Dupuy represented the Seahawks in the decathlon, posting marks of 11.11 meters in the shot put and 3.20 meters in the pole vault as part of the multi-event competition.

The Seahawks return to action next weekend at the University of South Florida Alumni Invitational in Tampa, Fla. The two-day meet will begin Friday, March 20 at 10:00 a.m. and continue Saturday, March 21 at 10:00 a.m. at the USF Track & Field Stadium.
