After a historic performance at the Sun Conference Championship, Claudio Pugnetti has been named the Sun Conference Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week. Pugnetti earned the program's sixth weekly honor of the season, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

- Pugnetti placed first overall in the javelin throw at the Sun conference championship
- His mark of 65.18m (213.84 ft) set a Keiser school record and facility record
- The throw met the NAIA A standard, qualifying him for nationals
- The sophmore from Udine, Italy continues to rank among the top javelin throwers in the NAIA
The Seahawks will now get ready to compete in the NAIA National Championships on May 20th - 22nd in Asheville, North Carolina
