ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The Keiser track & field teams will send four qualifiers to the 2026 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, held May 20–22 in Asheville, North Carolina.
The Seahawks enter nationals following a strong performance at the Sun Conference Championship, highlighted by conference titles, school records, All-Conference honors, and multiple NAIA qualifying marks. Claudio Pugnetti headlined the meet with a school-record throw in the javelin, while Adrian Rivadulla and Dallas Desouza secured national qualifying times on the track. On the women's side, Romee Van Dam continued her standout season by qualifying for her second national championship appearance of the year after previously competing during the indoor season.
Claudio Pugnetti, Sophomore, Udine, Italy
- Javelin – 65.18m
- Captured the Sun Conference title in the javelin with a throw of 65.18m
- Set a new Keiser school record and facility record with the mark
- Automatically qualified for NAIA Nationals with an NAIA "A" standard throw
- Qualified for Outdoor Nationals for the second consecutive season after also qualifying in 2025
- The men's javelin will begin Wednsday at 4:30 p.m.
Adrian Rivadulla, Sophomore, Queven, France
- 800m Run – 1:51.59
- Broke the Keiser school record in the 800m with a time of 1:51.59
- Met the NAIA "B" standard with his record-setting performance
- Won the Sun Conference title in the 800m during the conference championship
- Qualified for his first Outdoor National Championship after also qualifying for Indoor Nationals earlier this season
- The men's 800m prelims will begin Thursday at 2:50 p.m. Top 8 will compete on Friday at 4:10 p.m.
Dallas Desouza, Sophomore, West Palm Beach, Fla.
- 400m Dash – 47.43
- Earned All-Conference honors with a runner-up finish in the 400m dash
- Posted a season-best time of 47.43 in the conference final
- Met the NAIA "B" standard to qualify for nationals
- Qualified for nationals for the second time after competing at the 2024-25 Indoor National Championship
- The men's 400m prelims will begin Thursday at 4:20 p.m. Top 8 will compete on Friday at 3:45 p.m.
Romee Van Dam, Sophomore, Amsterdam, Netherlands
- 100m Hurdles – 14.17
- Captured the Sun Conference title in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.17
- Met the NAIA "B" standard with her conference-winning performance
- Earned All-Conference honors following her first-place finish
- Qualified for her second national championship appearance this season after competing at Indoor Nationals in the 60m hurdles
- The women's 100m Hurdles prelims will begin Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Top 8 will compete on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
Keiser will look to translate its conference success into All-America performances as the Seahawks compete on the national stage.
