No. 14 Softball Return to Space Coast for Midweek Doubleheader

VIERA, Fla. – The Keiser University No. 14 softball team returns to the Space Coast Spring Games this week for two additional matchups, taking on Nelson University and Lourdes University on Wednesday afternoon in Viera, Florida.

The Seahawks will open the day against Nelson University at 2:30 p.m., marking the first meeting in program history between the two teams. Keiser will then face Lourdes University at 4:45 p.m., a rematch of their only previous meeting, which the Seahawks won 2–1 on March 7, 2023, also at the Space Coast Spring Games. Keiser enters the midweek doubleheader with a 20–2 overall record, continuing an impressive start to the season fueled by balanced offense and consistent pitching.

Offensively, the Seahawks have been one of the most productive teams in the lineup, batting .298 as a team with 166 hits, 131 runs scored, and 59 stolen bases through the first 22 games. Several players have contributed to the team's success at the plate. Kaci Kidd leads the team with 25 hits and has recorded 10 doubles, while Faith Campos continues to be a dynamic presence at the top of the lineup, hitting .343 with 20 stolen bases and four triples. Genesis Iglesias has been the team's primary power threat, posting a 1.053 OPS with four home runs and 21 RBI, while also drawing 17 walks. Additional depth has come from Ava Stahl, Macy Schaaf, and Sarah Phipps, all hitting above the .325 mark and helping the Seahawks maintain consistent offensive production throughout the lineup.

Inside the circle, Keiser has relied on a deep and effective pitching staff that holds a 2.24 team ERA and has limited opponents to a .225 batting average. Mackenzie Masternak leads the staff with an 11–1 record and 79.1 innings pitched, while Maggie Miller owns a 1.54 ERA with two saves across seven appearances. Presley Wright and Olivia Solerno have also provided key innings, combining for five wins while keeping opposing offenses in check.

The return trip to Viera provides another opportunity for the Seahawks to continue building momentum as they progress through the heart of their schedule.
